Bare face - Deliveroo Ratings

Before the conclusion of this project I wanted to squeeze in one more video for experimental reasons...
Make-Up

We know that the whole premise of this project was to normalise being out in weird make-up and normalising not caring about what others think, but what about the opposite? So for this experimental video, I did not put any make-up on! None! Not even primer! Bare face today! This is a thing I think most people who do make-up struggle with the most, and that is to have the world see their face naked. I do struggle with this the most as well, like I will catch myself getting ready just to go downstairs AT HOME, or doing a full beat of make-up to pick up groceries at my local shop. It is a bit of a problem. I have always heard people say that make-up was created for women to please men and be insecure about their natural face, forcing them to buy more, and this is not a wrong theory. However, my view on make-up is that it is a tool to transform yourself to be who you want to be. Yes, it is a problem when I can not leave the house without some mascara or eyeliner, but it is also a great hobby to have, because cosmetics are still a form of art! We would not have awesome movies, like Barbie, without a cosmetics team making sure everybody looks good on camera. Luckily, before I got to recording I had a shower so my hair was extra fluffy, making up for the lack of weird make-up.
Video Topic
Instead of doing a video with fun facts, I wanted to try something different. You always see people rating food on TikTok, maybe even some mukbangs on YouTube, and this was actually an idea I had originally thought of for the Glorb content. Since I was really close to end of university I had been extra busy and ordering a lot of takeout, so I thought why not do a video of me rating places I have ordered from as a university student in Cambridge! Since I have already been tagging my videos with the Cambridge location for others to find, I thought this would be a good idea to give people an example of what you could find on delivery apps whilst studying in Cambridge. I would consider myself to be a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to ordering food (I can't help it), and especially because I have lived in around Central Cambridge for the past five years, so I do come across some good and bad deals.
I did not do any research for this topic, as I literally just went through my order history and talked about the place I ordered from, whether they were worth it or not. Pretty simple concept. However, if I were to have done anything different if I could go back in time, I would create a list first of all the places I have ordered from on my end and on my partner's phone, but they were not home at the time so I did not have access to that, and I wanted to get this video done very quickly.
Recording

As I was on a bit of a time crunch, and university was closed due to Easter holidays, I decided to record this in Photobooth once again. I do not think there is anything wrong with me making do with what I have with the little time I had left to upload another video. I do wish I had an at home studio set up ready to go whenever, but I am just a student with dreams right now, and that studio will become a reality one day. Since I still like the Photobooth filters I decided to use the "Dizzy" one this time, as I like that it does not distort my face but rather give me a cute effect on top of my head. I still used the DJI wireless microphones with the receiver plugged into my phone and recording on VoiceMemo, because I have had no problems with this yet and it was a quick setup, but I could not have the receiver work with my laptop for some reason (I'm sure I could have been able to fix this problem, but it was already 15 minutes past me initially wanting to record). Nevertheless, another video got recorded!
Editing

Just like for every video you have read about so far, I used Adobe After Effects (AE) to edit the video, and Premiere Pro (Pr) to generate the transcript and captions. Nothing different there. However, this time I did not do any dramatic zoom-ins or sound effects, just pure chatting content. 10 minutes of Photobooth turned into just under three minutes of rating takeout, and I was happy with the length, so I got to rendering! However, once I have rendered the entire video, I got to watching it back to see if there were any editing errors, and at first I did think I saw some. Some clips were lower frame rates, result in a black flash at the end of them. This seemed very weird to me as I am very particular with having gaps in the timeline whilst I am editing, so I went back to After Effects and checked every single clip in 10x zoom, seeing each individual frame, and I did not find any errors in the composition! This baffled me, as I have never had rendering problems with Media Encoder before (I prefer to use it because it is faster than rendering it in AE or Pr) and I did not have any more time or energy to mess around with it, resulting me in giving up and just putting it out there.
Uploading to TikTok

Since this was my last planned video, I decided to do some clickbait for the caption... Beginning of the caption says "This is my last video..." as a dramatic way of alerting people of the end of this project, but this might not even the end! So, two lines further down I added "FOR NOW!" so nobody would panic (I'm sure I have a fandom by now, only jokes).
As per usual in the caption I asked people for feedback, but this time for the entire project as this WOULD be my last video for a while. I again added a text above my head in TikTok's editing suite writing "Rating places I've ordered from!" for the same purpose as usual, and that's to let the viewer know what they're in for. I also added a recommended by TikTok audio, as from my personal experience it boosts your video up even just a little, because TikTok only recommends audios which have done good and/or are currently trending. The hashtags I used for this one were #creatureonstreet, #deliveroo, #foodie, #foodtok, and #takeawayfood. Other than that, video done!
